A Very Special Date

May 30 is a special date for us.  Four years ago today we brought home this special little girl.

She's come a long way in four years.

And today we officially added Watson as a member of our family. 

We are thrilled that he is now officially forever ours.
We went to the courthouse today at 11:30. The proceedings were relatively simple, and we were done in only a few minutes. We testified before the judge that we wanted Watson to officially be part of our family. She signed some final paperwork, we went downstairs and submitted it, and we were done! What a great feeling it is!

It'll take a few weeks before the rest of the dust settles. We still have to get his new, updated birth certificate, and we'll have to get him a social security number and all that jazz, but the wait is over. He's officially Watson Howard Medders, and he's officially ours!
